Colleen F. Swayze, MD, FACOG, OBGYN Ohio

What is the most important aspect of your job?

“It is rarely the prescription that I write; it is the time I spend hearing the patient’s story that heals her. It is a privilege to be An intimate part of women’s lives.”

Dr. Swayze is a board certified Obstetrician Gynecologist. She has practiced in Butler County since completing her residency in 1999. She provides care for all general obstetrical and gynecological conditions but has a special interest in adolescent patient care and preventive medicine. A compassionate listener, Dr. Swayze's care extends beyond traditional boundaries as she helps women address all issues that affect their health.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, and is an enthusiastic traveler and cook.

Here is a recipe that she and many of our doctors and their families enjoy:

Healthy Pancakes

  • 1 cup uncooked oats
  • 1 cup egg beaters
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • Truvia (natural sugar substitute) or other sweetener to taste
  • Cinnamon and other spice to taste
  • Using a blender or food processor, blend all ingredients until a smooth batter forms.
  • Cook on hot griddle as usual, flipping when small bubbles form on the top.
  • Serve with sugar free syrup, Cool Whip, or fruit as desired.
  • Delicious! Great for our gestational diabetics and others who wish to improve the nutritional content of their breakfast. Double or triple recipe and freeze prepared pancakes for easy, healthy breakfasts
